Institutional Activities

Since its inception in 2001, PACE expanded from solely providing business development training to providing a wide range of complementary programs to collectively forming the Institute of Leadership and Management as a whole.

The Public Training Programs at PACE represents the institution’s flagship activity.  The Public Training Programs provides training to business leaders and managers, attracting participants from corporate and government leadership positions, including top-level executives, to other levels of management and leadership responsibility.

To complement PACE Public Training Programs, which provide training to a more general audience, PACE In-house Training Services was established in 2002 to provide tailored training for local and foreign-owned companies in public and private sectors to build a more effective workforce.  These training programs are customized to meet the specific needs of the corporate clients who seek our services.  PACE assesses the clients’ needs and provides a customized curriculum to target the functional areas identified as areas to be strengthened, with the goal of helping companies build a strong and dedicated workforce.

To date, more than 70,000 entrepreneurs and directors from corporations, local, and foreign companies have attended PACE Public Training Programs and utilized PACE In-House Training Services.  As Vietnam continues to develop its economy, PACE is helping business leaders to meet the demands of business opportunities and tackle challenges that emerge within the country and in the global market.

Alongside the training programs and curriculum offered by PACE Public Training Programs and In-house Training Services, PACE organizes national and international seminars and conferences on business, economics, and other topics.  PACE’s national seminars and conferences gather the country’s pre-eminent leaders, intellectuals, and scholars to address pressing challenges facing the business community and Vietnamese society.  PACE also invites and brings thinkers, scholars and experts to Vietnam so that local business leaders and managers can tap into global expertise right at their doorsteps.  These international seminars also create networking opportunities for participants to share key management issues and new business developments.  Recent keynote speakers have included some of the world’s most influential thinkers and scholars, including Michael E. Porter, the father of the modern strategy field; Paul Krugman, the 2008 Nobel Laureate in Economics; and Philip Kotler, the father of modern marketing.  As Vietnam has become increasingly integrated with the world economy as a member of the WTO, these business and economic seminars organized by PACE provide attendees with an unparalleled opportunity for acquiring new perspectives and tools to respond to emerging issues facing the business community.

Rounding out its institutional activities, Research and Publishing aim to enhancing business knowledge, training human resources and cultivating talents, PACE places high values on its research and publishing activities.  PACE has worked to combine training with research, training with publishing, and training with seminar organizing..

Together, the four institutional activities provide a wide array of resources and opportunities for the business community in Vietnam to expand their knowledge and deepen their skills so that they can be competent contenders on the international economic stage.
