In 2007, a group of entrepreneurs, intellectuals, and PACE came together for the first time to resolve the need to educate Vietnamese youth to become business leaders for the country’s future.  The Institute of Potential Leaders (IPL) is established to develop the seeds of leadership by providing intensive training and access to a robust business network to a selected group of bright young talents.  Through the work of IPL, PACE is committed to increasing the supply of talented leaders in Vietnam’s business community.

To develop a new generation of business leaders who can competently lead their businesses in a globally competitive environment and who aspires to raise the stature of Vietnamese enterprises in the international business community.

IPL aspires to be a prestigious institute for developing business leadership and management, contributing to shaping a new generation of young and highly achieving business leaders in Vietnam.

IPL selects Vietnam’s brightest and most aspiring young people and provide them with rigorous, cutting-edge, international business training programs.  IPL uses a strategy to recognize and develop talented candidates called the “5-9-5 Strategy.”

To ensure that all students would have access to the IPL program, each year, IPL offers all selected students substantial financial assistance with half-tuition and full scholarships.  IPL is among the first of such projects in Vietnam that provide students with financial aid and with the goal of transforming talented students into the highly skilled, competitive business leaders needed for Vietnam’s future economy.  IPL perpetuates the availability of its training and financial aid resources through local and multi-national corporate sponsorships, organizations, and foundations.  Through these sponsorships, IPL can continue to support the development of multiple generations of highly competent business leaders who will help pave the way toward Vietnam's success in the new globally competitive environment.
