(FBNC) –A non-profit education project namely IPL, a rigorous, time-consuming program without any degree, is vivid proof of the strong commitment of intellectuals and entrepreneurs who are dedicated to identifying, training, and developing aspiring young talents for the business community.
A ceremony to mark the second admission of students to the Institute of Potential Leaders (IPL) was held in Ho Chi Minh City on June 28, 2011 with the attendance of hundreds of leading business leaders, government officials, scholars, and intellectuals in Vietnam.
The ceremony was an important event that demonstrated the commitment and dedication of entrepreneurs and educators to cultivate the seeds of potential leaders to contribute to Vietnam's economic development.
After four years of operation, IPL has gained recognition as a trusted community of aspiring and dedicated young people.
Thirty seven talented students were selected this year, from more than 1,700 applicants from around Vietnam througha five-round entrance examination and selection process. These students will spend nine months undergoing an intensive training program, and another 5-year in a post-training period of self-experience. No certificate, credit, or degree is offered at the end of the program, which emphasizes the true value of learning that is an integral philosophy of the program.
Mr. Gian Tu Trung, the educator in charge of academics for IPL spoke at the ceremony and emphasized the true value of learning for self-development: “To study is to become a human being who is successful in your own career and contribute your values to society," he said.“Only genuine learning creates true capability. True capability leads to real achievements and creates true values. And true values lay a foundation for a worthwhile life. Therefore, everything starts from one’s attitude toward genuine learning."
Institute of Potential Leaders or IPL is a not-for-profit institution was founded by dedicated entrepreneurs and intellectuals, and is managed by the PACE Institute of Leadership and Management (PACE) in Vietnam. IPL recognizes and nurtures the seeds of leadership for Vietnam's business community by drawing from the cream of the country's youth and providing these talents with substantial scholarships to take part in the intensive international leadership development programs.
