Non-Profit Education Projects

The work and impact of PACE is extended by that of its non-profit education projects.  AfterVietnam joined the WTO in 2007, uplifting the education and standards of the larger society to international standards became even more important for the sustainability of the business community inVietnam.  PACE has since collaborated with prominent intellectuals, leading entrepreneurs, organizations and government agencies to initiate education projects that reach out to the larger population.  Not only is it important to focus on those who are already in the business industry or aspire to be, PACE understands that cultivating the value of education and learning in its citizens creates the foundation of a business community that can grow and innovate in a sustainable and ethical way.

Since 2007, PACE has developed a series of non-profit education projects that are dedicated to expanding the opportunities of youth at an early age.  The Institute of Potential Leaders (IPL) was established with the purpose of developing the seeds of leadership in the youth forVietnam’s business community.  IPL is committed to increasing the talent supply of business leaders and improving leadership capacity through intensive training and access to a robust network in the business community.

Through its non-profit education projects, PACE seeks to cultivate the intellectual pursuits of its citizens by creating various spaces for learning and connecting knowledge through the social media.  Launched in early 2011, the Business Knowledge Portal (Doanhtri.vn) provides business leaders resources and access to the world's cutting-edge ideas, theories, practices, and knowledge from experts in the fields of business, economics, leadership and management.  This forum, which is hosted online, serves as a meeting point for Vietnamese business leaders and professionals to network, exchange and learn about ideas and practices from each other and from other national and global counterparts.

Aiming to nurture the education environment in Vietnam, GoodBooks or SachHay Educational and Cultural Project (SachHay.org or GoodBooks.vn) was founded in 2007 to provide a hub for Vietnamese readers to interact with each other and with book publishers, intellectuals, and entrepreneurs.

PACE also collaborates with Vietnam’s pre-eminent scholars and intellectuals to establish GoodBooks Awards, an annual event organized by GoodBooks / SachHay project.  Starting in mid- 2011, the Awards are initiated to recognize and honor authors, translators, and publishers who have produced Vietnamese works that have contributed to expanding and enhancing the body of literature and knowledge available to the world in Vietnamese.

Aligning with PACE’s activities, in 2008, OneBook was established to promote literacy and engage readers throughout Vietnam.  Recognizing that empowering the underserved is one of the key issues of the country’s economic and educational development, PACE hopes that these initiatives will equip the disadvantaged and underserved with the skills, knowledge, and passion to become productive members of the future larger community.  To ensure that all people in Vietnam have quality literacy opportunities, OneBook calls for every individual and organization to donate at least one new or used book to another person, targeting mostly disadvantaged groups in Vietnam.

The Life Management Program (LMP) is a non-profit initiative that provides scholarships for people to gain the tools to discover their values and goals, which helps build a strong sense of self that will contribute to the advancement of society overall.  Through sound life management theory and practices, PACE aims to equip adults and students, including the disadvantaged, with critical skills and knowledge to manage their lives better so that they can succeed and reach their fullest potential.

All non-profit education projects reinforce the values and mission of PACE Institute of Leadership and Management to build the foundation of a new business society inVietnam.  The combined efforts of these projects to reach the young and the disadvantaged, as well as spearheading the creative use of technology to build and share/spread knowledge, ensure that the business community in Vietnam will continue to keep up to speed and progress in the global economy.
