Chief Marketing Officer / "CMO"


PACE believes that successful branding is essential in helping companies in Vietnam have a stake in the business landscape, locally and globally.  Whether it is a product brand name or enterprise brand name, branding should effectively communicate to society what it is and what it can offer.  PACE’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) program aims to help aspiring professional CMOs to facilitate the development of branding strategies and management that can spearhead the company’s image to its customers.  On a larger scale, PACE also hopes that this program will help create a marketing community in Vietnam and help the country further its integration in today’s globalized economy.

PACE has had extensive experience on marketing strategies and management for companies in various industries and sectors.  PACE officially became the strategic partner of the National Trademark Program—a unique program carried out by the Vietnamese Government to advertise the country’s trademark and image through product brand names to promote the country’s international economic integration.  As a partner, PACE is authorized to deploy important training programs, especially on marketing and branding, in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the National Trademark Program.  Subsequently, PACE’s special training program for CMOs not only empowers executives with the core concepts and knowledge that a professional CMO must attain, but also helps them acquire essential knowledge on the latest trends of marketing in Vietnam that will set the stage for their company to explore the ways to integrate into the world economy.

In 2007, Philip Kotler—the father of modern marketing—was invited to chair an international seminar by PACE, titled “New Marketing for a New Age.”  This seminar provided the business community with the most important and newest ideas, philosophies, notions and trends of marketing, as well as the role of the CMO in the 21st century.  With first hand insight from Philip Kotler, PACE has incorporated its own localized knowledge of marketing in Vietnam to design and implement the CMO training program to specifically help CMOs develop marketing strategies that will effectively integrate their companies in the dynamic business environment.

Trainers of the CMO program are seasoned experts in marketing and branding.  They have in-depth knowledge of the latest trends in marketing and international communications, and have a wealth of insight into Vietnam’s current business context.  These experts are dedicated to building up the marketing field in Vietnam so that companies can effectively integrate and compete with local and global businesses.
