Mr. Tom Chong – Ernst & Young
Mr. Tom Chong is a Partner of Ernst & Young Vietnam and he is the Business Advisory and Transaction Advisory Services leader based in our Ho Chi Minh office. Tom’s experience in the professional field is vast and varied. Since being in Vietnam, Chong has undertaken various corporate and management restructuring engagements for state owned and private companies. He is currently advising on management transformation exercise (including HR transformation) of various local companies in preparation for listing on the local stock exchange.
Back in Malaysia, Tom had undertaken diverse assignments relating to corporate restructuring, business transformation, feasibility studies, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, corporate share valuation, auditing, and investigation for clients involved in a wide spectrum of industries ranging from financial services, plantation, timber, manufacturing, service, prawn & fish farming, public sector, shipping, hotel, property development, construction to port operations. Throughout his professional life in Malaysia, Tom has successfully guided many clients towards listing on Bursa Malaysia. His involvement in this regard included review and enhancement of strategic and business plans, re-organizing corporate and operational structures, and enhancement of corporate governance and financial closing processes.
Mr. Tom Chong is the co-author of Corporate Governance – A Handbook for Vietnamese Directors under the auspices of EuroCham and VCCI. He has spoken at different workshops/seminar including: “Employment Law & HRM in Vietnam”, “HR strategy for large corporate - VNR500 SUMMIT 2010”, “Corporate Governance”, “Risk Management Routable”, “Fraud Risks & Anti Fraud Solutions”, “Risk Management for Commercial Banks” in Vietnam.
Mr. Tang Tri Trong – Vietnamworks

Mr. Tang Tri Trong is currently National Sales Director of VietnamWorks – the biggest recruitment website in Vietnam. He has more than 15 years of management experience and numerous outstanding achievements.
Before joining VietnamWorks, Mr. Trong was Assistant Director of Agency Training and Development in charge of nationwide training for Prudential's agency force. During his time directly managing sales force, Trong’s team won “Prudential Top Team” Award for the year 2006 running from among 18 teams across Vietnam.

Ms. Tieu Yen Trinh – TalentNet

Ms. Tieu Yen Trinh, former Senior Manager of Human Resource Services, Indochina, of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), is currently General Director of Talentnet Corporation. With over 14 years of experience in human resource services at PwC prior to heading up Talentnet in 2007, Trinh is considered as a leading HR professional in Vietnam. She has a deep and unparalleled understanding of the Vietnamese labor market and strong relationships with HR professionals, industry leaders and other key contacts in this field.

Ms. KAREN DAVIES – XAGE CONSULTANT

Karen is a founding principal of XAGE Consultancy with extensive experience in HR Consultancy and assessment centres. She has over 22 years experience as an assessor, manager, trainer and Executive Search. She was instrumental in the development of competency based assessment and development centre services for commercial use in the UK.
Karen has worked in New York and Melbourne providing HR consultancy services including Performance Management, Retention and Succession planning, Talent Management and Executive Search. During her eight years in Vietnam she has been able to develop a strong awareness and understanding of the Vietnamese culture and how it affects behaviour in the workplace.
